Welcome to Dulzura Vineyard &Winery

The Dulzura Vineyard & Winery is located on the pioneer-era Clark Ranch, established in 1885. Today the ranch is still family owned. The buildings are among the very few surviving structures from that era. Come visit and share a glass of fine wine while enjoying the historical ambience and beauty of the Clark Ranch.

Wine Tasting That’s Close

Only 35 minutes from Downtown San Diego and mere 15 minutes from Eastlake and Chula Vista, we’re a nearby wine tasting experience offering a choice of samplings from our ample selection of red, white, and rosé wines.  All  are vinted exclusively from local Dulzura grapes.  We’re sure you’ll discover a wine that suits your palate! Enjoy a taste…or a glass!

Have A Picnic

Although we’re unable to provide food here, you’re welcome to bring your own favorites and enjoy a picnic during your visit. Several picnic sites are available for your use. We’re also family and pet friendly. Feel free to explore the historic Clark Ranch grounds and have a look at some of the antique farm implements found on the property. Visitors can also take in the panoramic views from the observation deck overlooking our hillside vineyards. There’s also plenty of scenic hiking to be had if you’re so inclined.

“This small Winery and Vineyard, east of San Diego, in the Dulzura valley is a gem. I found it by accident several months ago and have gone back several more times.”

Quality from the Vine

The making of a fine wine always begins in the vineyard. The small Dulzura valley where we grow our fruit is blessed with the right combination of soil, sufficient water, and climate enabling us to make full-bodied reds and delicate, aromatic whites with minimal or no intervention. Eight select grape varietals are grown in our estate vineyard situated on the north-facing hillside above the winery.

They receive ample sun and a gentle breeze on most days during the growing season. Proximity to the ocean (14 miles) provides a cooling-off period each spring and summer evening allowing the vineyard to produce the fruit that will become wines of exceptional quality.
